Who Do You Think You Are?When You Don’t FeelGood Enough
Speaker: Eric Lehman
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.Ephesians 2:10 NLT
Without Christ, you are not enough.
1Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. 2You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. ... 3All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else.Ephesians 2:1-3 NLT
I am—God’s masterpiece—Created in Christ Jesus.
To do good works—Which God prepared for me to do.
Until you admit you’re a sinner, you won’t see your need for a savior.
4But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, 5that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)Ephesians 2:4-5 NLT
8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast.Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.Ephesians 2:10 NLT
With Christ, you are God’s masterpiece.
You aren’t saved by good works, but for good works.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.Romans 8:28 NIV
“I created a vision of David in my mind and simply carved away everything that was not David.” —Michelangelo
