- God’s Sovereign Will: God’s unstoppable, unchangeable plan that directs all things towards His purpose
Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass. Isaiah 46:10 Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. Proverbs 19:21 - God’s Moral Will: Timeless truths revealed in His word for how we live
God’s will is for you to be holy… 1Thessalonians 4:3 Holy: hagios - set apart, different, sacred, dedicated to GodYou cannot walk in God’s will if you are disobeying His word - God’s Permissive Will: the freedom God gives us to make choices, even when they’re not perfect
You say, “I am allowed to do anything”-but not everything is beneficial. 1 Corinthians 10:23 - God’s Personal Will: God’s unique, specific calling for you
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. Psalms 32:8
